![]() ![]() This class is designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform intermediate magic giving students slightly more advanced and complex concepts, as well as principles and effects that require more involved techniques. Theoretical discussions will include the key elements of misdirection, overcoming stage fright, and keys to effective audience management. Magic II will introduce students to slightly more advanced card and coin effects as well as introduce sponge ball magic. Props will be provided by the Academy of Magical Arts and include cards, close up pad, half dollars (2), English pennies (1), rubber bands, wand, silks (2), cups and balls, notebook and pen as well as index cards. Create, Perform and Evaluate an original story line incorporating a magic effect.Identify, Describe, and Evaluate the key elements of flashing.Identify, Describe and Demonstrate fundamental effects.Practice basic handling techniques for common magic props.Identify and Describe the basic styles of Magic.Identify and Describe the key principles of Magic.This class is designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform basic magic combining instructor presentation, step-by-step explanation, hands-on instruction, practice techniques, group practice sessions and individual performance. Magic I will focus on basic principles of card and coin magic including forces, controls, and rudimentary palming as well as discussions involving the history and theory of magic that will allow the student to develop appreciation for the art form. Late cancellations, transfers, name changes cannot be accommodated after the cancellation/change cutoff date.
